The group is an academic space to investigate discursive matters pervading social, historical and cultural manifestations based on readings of Michel Foucault.
It particularly studies Michel Foucault’s bibliography because of his contribution to Discourse Analysis.
The group is closely related to research groups from other Higher Education Institutions which share similar academic experiences.
Its studies include the three phases in Foucault’s work (i.e., archeological, genealogical, and ethics/esthetics of existence) and their contribution to Discourse Analysis.
The group excels at: educating researchers about the epistemological principles of the French Discourse Analysis and its interface with Michel Foucault’s work; proposing and developing research projects that enable the integration of teacher, students at undergraduate and graduate levels, and other segments of the academic community; promoting academic events to discuss related topics; and producing and publishing scientific works.
